Fort 2 Fort Charity Cycle

#Fort2Fort Sunday 20th March

GAA stars Kieran Donaghy, Juliet Murphy, and Seán Óg Ó hAilpín have launched the Fort 2 Fort Charity Cycle 2016! This cycle raises funds for the Mercy University Hospital Foundation, the Lions Club of Cork and Camden Fort Meagher Restoration. Fort 2 Fort, now in its 5th year, has firmly established itself in the calendar of Cork’s cycling enthusiasts of all abilities, offering a choice of distances around Cork Harbour.

The Cycle

The 2016 cycle starts at Trabolgan Holiday Village in East Cork, and will take cyclists through some of the most spectacular scenery and routes around Cork Harbour, before heading towards Camden Fort Meagher in Crosshaven. All cyclists will cross the River Lee on the Cross River Ferry, where they can momentarily relax, take stock and enjoy the buzz and excitement that is Fort 2 Fort.

Mercy University Hospital Foundation

We raise funds which impact on the lives of the 100,000 patients treated at the Mercy University Hospital every year. The new Mercy Cancer CARE Centre will provide a quiet, safe place for patients and families to help them deal with their cancer diagnosis or to receive ongoing support during their cancer journey through one-to-one support, peer-group sessions and bereavement counselling in a nonclinical and relaxed environment.

Lions Clubs of Cork

Irish Lions are members of Lions Clubs International, a community service organisation dedicatedLions Club Logo to the idea that the men and women who live in a community are in the best position to know who needs help and why. Our association is both non-political and non-sectarian. Clubs around the island of Ireland organise events throughout the year to provide funds to support local people on national and international projects. Because we're local, we can serve the unique needs of the communities we live in. If you want to find out more about Lions Clubs just click here.
