Making Wishes Come True

We have made a three-year commitment to provide funding amounting to €10,000 per year, to Make-a-Wish-Ireland, so we can make wishes come true for children at the Mercy Hospital facing life-threatening diseases and medical conditions. Your donations have made this possible – thank you.

Make-a-Wish Ireland has granted wishes for nearly 2,000 children since it’s inception, making wishes come true for children aged between 3 and 17 years, with life-threatening conditions.

“On behalf of the Foundation we are delighted that we could announce this partnership with Make-A-Wish. We offer children the opportunity to be cared for in quality medical facilities with highly skilled staff but we couldn’t make the memories for the children and their families so working with Make-A-Wish has allowed us to be in a position to help grant these wishes.

When it came to our attention that a number of children within the hospital were waiting to have their wishes granted, we felt it was just as important for their wellbeing to have this experience. Fortunately we were in the position to give back. We want these children to have these memories that they could hold on to and for their families to experience a brief normality.”

Mícheál Sheridan, Chief Executive, Mercy Hospital Foundation.
